along with the
Jeremiah Callahan
family migrated west .
  The two families purchased
land in Whitebreast
Township at $1.25 an acre
and here they settled to till the land
and make their homes for the rest of their lives.

The first school was taught by
Jeremiah Callahan in a log cabin
north of what was later known as
Whitebreast Junction.
Jacob Admire was a brickmaker
by trade and had a kiln.
Many of the buildings in
the area were made from
bricks made by Jacob.
